Once a chef, then a journalist, now I’m an author, speaker who leads food and spirits pairings
After 11 years cooking and serving tables in restaurants, I left the trade to write about it.
- For 30 years I’ve covered every aspect of restaurants for leading magazines and websites while branching out as an industry copywriter.
- Living in Kentucky led me to the bourbon industry and its boundless stories, and soon after, tequila got into the mix. In addition to writing for multiple spirits publications, I create custom content for distilleries.
- While writing my first book, I discovered that food pairs really well with spirits. I now lead food and spirits pairings in person and virtually.
- I also enjoy ghostwriting, getting into another’s mind and putting their thoughts to paper. Few things gratify me like a client saying, “That’s exactly what I was thinking! How did you do that?” A couple of “ghosted” books, countless speeches, position papers and blogs later, I’m still loving it.
